20 year old metal crown hurts when i bite on it: Can it be resurfaced?

Whats possibly going on for it to be doing this and finally is it fixable and not costly to fix?  It's like a biting on foil paper. feeling.

Hi:If the crown is loose, there is a possibility of removing it and re glueing it.  Normally it will get looser over time and will come out as well.  Best,Dr. Maddahi
