Can I use Invisalign to correct my bite? I have flaring on bottom and top teeth. My teeth aren’t horribly crooked but my bite is edge to edge . I consulted with smile direct club and said I wasn’t a candidate. I’m super bummed. I’m scheduled with an orthodontist near me. i really don’t want traditional braces

Answer: certain cases are too complicated to be solved with invisalign and fixed orthodontics is necessary
Find a dentist/orthodontist who has many years (over 10) in treating TMJ Dysfunction (TMD)
1. Fix the TMD first,
2. Then orthodontics, but this should include Functional Facial Orthopedics (Jaw widening) and eliminate the need for extracting any teeth.
I don't see root resorption here in the x-ray provided. If a full exam revealed no issues, I would consider you a candidate for aligners. Your previous treatment is irrelevant. It is true that root resorption can cause problems, so an orthodontist must be very vigilant with a patient with this...
Invisalign may be able to assist moving the teeth downwards and allowing them to be more visible when you smile. Porcelain Veneers would also be another good option.
