I naturally have always had lumpy breasts. I am going to have an augmentation under muscle. Will it effect the look?

Hello, thank you for your question. Lumpy and fibrous breasts will not affect the ease with which breast implants are placed.  Find a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of breast augmentations each year.  Look at the before and after photo galleries on their websites to determine who can get you to the best result.

Your surgeon, having had the opportunity to examine you, might be able to give you a more definitive answer. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of former patients with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size breast implant is right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the implants have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved.

Implants will definitely affect the look of your breasts, which is the reason why you are getting them. The "lumps" may becaome less lumpy as your breast tissue is spread over the implants.
