Recently found a splotchy purple mark under big toe? (Photo)

I'm an 18 year old woman who recently found a splotchy purplish mark underneath my big toe, I work in hospitality and as a result my toe has suffered an ingrown toenail. I was wondering if the purple mark is a fungal infection or something more serious? I don't have any pain or other symptoms (other than a chest infection/bronchial infection that is separate), Fungal or melanoma?

According to your picture, the purple mark on your toenail does not appear to be fungus however it is always best to see a physician in person to be certain.  Typically with fungus you will have a darker purple or sometimes white blotches on the nailbed and your nailbeds look clean and unaffected but again best to see a physician to be certain.
