Since turning 30, I've gained 10-15lbs and now have a flabby middle. I run up to 60 miles a week, eat really healthy, and do planks. I'm still the same jean size (27) as I used to be, so I'm guessing the weight gain is all in my middle area. It might be because I was diagnosed with grade 4 OA arthritis when I was 27 (now I run 2-3min/mi slower than before despite training). Or maybe I have a leaky gut (I've had GI issues for the past 11 years and nothing has worked). I'm 5'7.5" 145lbs, and 32.
Answer: Which treatment is best for you? Hi there, thank you for your question and photographs. Both Emsculpt and Trusculpt have the ability to destroy fat cells and build muscle. The fat destruction is permanent, however, the muscle definition is not. It is recommended that you continue with monthly treatments in order to maintain muscle tone. Coolsculpt may be a good option for you. Coolsculpt is also non-invasive and will permanently destroy more fat than the Emsculpt or Trusculpt, however, it does not tone muscle. Combining both treatments will give you an even better result! I recommended an in person consultation with your local Cosmetic Expert. They will decide the best treatment plan to fit your needs. Good luck!

Answer: Treatment options Emsculpt is a temporary treatment that strengthens your muscles just like an ultra intense exercise session through rapid stimulation causing muscle contractions. Trusculpt is a permanent fat removal technique using heat. It is most similar to cool sculpting except it uses heat and radio frequency. My personal recommendation to you is liposuction of your torso. Done by you a highly skilled board-certified plastic surgeon who has sufficient experience and skill this will give by far the best aesthetic outcome permanently removing the undesirable fat in the most predictable and effective manner. Unfortunately liposuction results vary greatly depending on who does the procedure. The results go anywhere from disfigurement to spectacular body transformations. In your case you have a good figure, strong muscles and in particular tight skin which makes you a spectacularly good candidate for liposuction. Nonsurgical fat removal techniques simply are ineffective and somewhat in precise and unpredictable compared to liposuction. The great majority of patients don’t get enough of a result to even notice any difference at all. The nonsurgical options also are not capable of properly blending the treated zones to the untreated zones in adjacent areas. Perhaps surgery is out of the question for you but in my opinion well done liposuction would give you stellar results and I would anticipate you being an ideal candidate for that procedure. If you do consider liposuction make absolutely sure you only deal with providers who have experience and skill to deliver consistent results. Do this by having in person consultations at which time you should ask the provider to show all of their before and after pictures for abdominal or torso lipisuction. A highly experienced plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing several hundred sets of before and after pictures. This and reviewing providers credibility by reading reviews on all the various physician review websites paying close attention and avoiding providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. You can certainly try the other options first like so many people do but I think you’ll find them to be a waste of money. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
