Hi I’m 34 and I had my back tooth pulled when I was 15 and now my dentist wants to put a permanent bridge to keep my teeth from shifting but I read that it’s important to do a bridge as soon as possible after pulling tooth to kept from shifting. Will my teeth continue to shift and cause trouble if I don’t do the bridge?

Answer: A Bridge is a Good Idea Yes, your teeth will continue to shift if there is nothing to stop them from moving into the available space and a bridge can help prevent that. Although it took many years to get to this point, I suggest following the proposed plan from you dentist to ensure your teeth do not continue to shift. He understands what can happen over time and is suggesting you take measures to avoid bigger problems in the future.
