Is Spironolactone an option for permanent Hair loss?

(Female) I have access body hair on my chest and stomach due to Hirsutism and want to get rid of it permanently. I am of Hispanic decent with coarse hair. Can this be a possibility for me? If so, how long should I take the medication before it becomes permanent?
