Can I take 500 mg amoxicillin and get Botox and Restylane injections on the same day?

Botox works locally at the muscle into which it is injected and will not have any interaction with the amoxicillin.  It will also not affect the cosmetic results from Restylane injections, so no need to worry about your dental cleaning affecting your filler/Botox results.  

Thanks for your question.  Pre-op antibiotics are not routinely indicated for Botox or dermal fillers as they usually are for surgical procedures. That being said, antibiotics will not affect the effectiveness of these products.  Although infections are very rare from injectables, you likely will be getting the benefit of decreasing any chance of one by timing it as you are.

You should have no problem having your injections done on the same day as taking a prophylactic antibiotic and the antibiotic should have no affect on the Botox.  Good luck with your injections!

Hi Peeples, There is no reason why you should not be able to take Amoxicillin on the day you have Botox or Fillers done. 

Antibiotics are not usually indicated as a prophylactic approach with facial injections. That being said there should be no interference between the antibiotics and your scheduled aesthetic treatments.

I agree 100% with Dr. Sweat, the Amoxicillin will have no effect on your Botox treatment. Enjoy your results!
