Can minoxidil (liquid) cause whitish skin discolouration when applied on face for beard growth?

I've been using minoxidil on my face for around 3 weeks now. Recently I noticed a small whitish discoloration of the skin. My skin has been getting very dry and started to peel off. Is it due to that?

Hair  loss from telogen effluvium usually returns within 6 to 9 months, although it sometimes takes as much as a year. You will start to see new hair growth as hairs cycle from telogen to anagen. This is a slow process. the process can be followed with magnification by a hair loss expert. If...
