How can I get with no teeth or something covering the implants before placing the temporary crown?

Hi! i'm getting 6 implants on my upper jaw, the dentist said that i have to wait few days before placing the temporary crown. i wonder how i can eat with no teeths or something covering the implants?

You will be on soft diet during the healing time. It is not uncommon to allow the surgical site to heal before placing temporary teeth. I hope this helps answer your question about how you can eat.

After placing the implants we recommend patients not to even use temporary dentures for chewing on food as this prolongs the time needed for the integration of the implants to the jaw bone. It may even result in failure of the dental implant. Therefore you need the stick to a soft diet where chewing is not necessary for the next few months until the permanent crowns/bridges are fitted in.
