Can I shave between my laser hair removal sessions?

Yes. You can
absolutely shave between your laser hair removal treatments. Just don’t pluck, wax,
or use Nair or something of the sort on the area while doing treatments. Also,
do your best to stay out of the sun and make sure to wear your sunscreen!

Yes, you can shave in between laser hair removal treatments.  If the patients come in without shaving, we will ask them to shave before the procedure anyways.

It is perfectly safe to shave in between laser hair removal sessions. However, you will want to avoid waxing and plucking, since these methods can hinder results. Staying out of the sun is also important for the best results. 

I tell my patients that shaving is fine between sessions.  However, I would be sure to stay out of the sun and avoid plucking or waxing. It could result in scarring or a poor result.

It is perfectly fine to shave between laser sessions. In fact, I ask my patients to shave on the morning of treatment. By shaving, the heat from the laser penetrates deeper into the hair follicle to give the best results.

Hello, yes is is perfectly okay to shave after your laser hair reduction treatment.  At our office we have the patient shave the day of the treatment and tell them to continue to shave throughout their series as often as they wish.  It is important not to pluck, tweeze or wax during your series.

Thanks for your question.  It's curious that your service provider did not give you post treatment instructions.  You are receiving a medical treatment and it should be medically supervised.  The answer is yes, you can and should shave between LHR treatments.  Best of luck.

Shaving with a razor is permissible between laser hair removal treatments.  It will not affect future treatments.  I would recommend NOT waxing, threading or using depilatories, which will affect future treatments.  I hope that helps.  Regards, Dr. D.
