Do minoxidil effects healthy hair follicles also, those follicles which are normal, so if someone start using minoxidil for hairfall, and after using it for few months, will those Normal healthy hair follicles also become dependent on minoxidil? Then after stopping minoxidil use, will those normal healthy hair follicles also start hair loss and make your condition worse then it was before starting minoxidil? Do normal hair follicles also become dependent on minoxidil?

Answer: Effect of minoxidil on normal healthy hair follicles
Repeat plucking often leads to chronic inflammation and development of scar tissue. If hair growth is desired use of minoxidil, bimatoprost and topical steroids can be considered. However, it is often not helpful in these cases as described here.

Happy to read you are minoxidil responsive. Try weaning down the dose and see what happens. If you stop cold-turkey, you will likely shed. Ultimately, you need a dose high enough to achieve the desired effect. Likely, twice daily dosing is providing you more than what you need. Best of luck ...
