I noticed that a week leading up to my period and a week after my period, my hair shedding was very low. Only 20-30 strands a day and 80 in the shower (hair wash once a week). After that, my hair shedding increased to about 50-70 a day and 150 in the shower. Could this be due to hormonal changes? Is this normal? What can i do to decrease the amount of hair I shed daily?

Hello and thank you for your question. The effectiveness of Finasteride can vary and depends on your body makeup. Some people can be on it for a very long time and others cannot. I suggest a visit to your doctor who knows your medical history and go from there. Best of luck to you.
