Juvederm or Radiesse can be successfully used for chin augmentation. These are different types of fillers and it really depends on what you'd like to do before recommending one over the other. I suggest a consult with an injector you trust.
Both Juvederm and Radiesse are great options, depending on your desired results. It is best to keep in mind that Juvederm can be dissolved (in case you are not satisfied with the results). Radiesse is longer lasting than Juvederm, but cannot be dissolved. Talk with your doctor about your goals for non-surgical chin augmentation to determine the best treatment for you!
A nonsurgical chin augmentation uses dermal fillers, such as Restylane,Radiesse and Juvéderm, injected intoareas of volume and fat loss and to counteract sagging. Radiesse, acalcium-based formulation, is typically used more in nonsurgical chinaugmentation due to its ability to provide more structural support. Thisscaffolding created from Radiesse reshapes the chin and jawline. It alsopromotes collagen synthesis. Juvéderm and Restylane, both are hyaluronic acidformulations, are also sometimes used to augment tissue and increase volume. The consistencies of Juvéderm and Restylane are not as thick as Radiesse, souse in a nonsurgical chin augmentation depends on an individual’s naturalstructural and goals.
Both these products can be used safely and effectively for augmenting a weak chin. Using one product over another is injector preference. The injector should be able to educate you on the postives and negatives of each product. Together you can make a decision for the best filler to address your concerns. There are advantages of using a hyaluronic acid product over Radiesse. Hyaluronic acids like Juvederm can be broken down if for some reason you do not like the results. If you love what the filler has done to improve your chin, you may want to consider a chin implant done by a qualified, experienced facial plastic surgeon for permanent results and less costly in the long run.
Radiesse is the best option for a temporary chin enhancement, it’s a lot thicker than Juvederm to help build the chin, the result should last 12-14 months
Hi Raf12,Thank you for your question! Non-Surgical Chin Augmentation is a great procedure for both correcting asymmetry and adding projection to balance out facial features. I've had amazing results enhancing the jawline and chin using a combination of Juvéderm Voluma (lasts up to 24 months), and Radiesse (lasts up to 18 months). Be sure to do your homework and find an Injector with demonstrated patient results and experience with this technically challenging procedure. I've created a video about Non-Surgical Chin and Jawline Augmentation to address some frequently asked questions about the treatment.I hope this information helps in your research!
The ideal size of the chin is somewhat subjective and depends on many factors such as the overall size of the face, size of the nose, and height of an individual. Although not a common request from my patients, chin augmentation can often produce a dramatic and fulfilling outcome. The goal of the procedure is to balance the profile by enhancing a weak chin and improving overall facial harmony. A weak chin will often make the face appear 'bird-like' and pointy and may also make the neck appear too fat. Besides strengthening a weak chin and improving the overall appearance of the face and profile, chin augmentation can restore balance by creating the illusion of a smaller noseWhile in the past chin augmentation was achieved by an implant, surgically placed over bone, nowadays, less effective alternatives exist.Radiesse injections present one such option, giving patients an effective non-surgical tool for chin augmentation.Radiesse is a volumizing and collagen-stimulating filler, made up of very small Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a naturally occurring mineral that makes up 50 percent of the bones in the human body as well as the enamel covering the teeth and, as such, will not cause any allergic reactions and is completely biodegradable. In addition to being a widely used filler for smoothing deep facial folds and wrinkles, it can also be used to perform non-surgical nosejobs and chin augmentations. Radiesse works by replacing the skin’s own depleted collagen and triggering the production of new collagen.Though Juvederm gives a beautiful and soft correction for the lines around the mouth and is my filler of choice for lip augmentation, I would invariably choose Radiesse for non-surgical chin augmentation with quick and beautiful results.Hope this helps and Good Luck!
Radiesse would be my first pick for chin augmentation which should last up to a year. If you are comfortable with the results of the Radiesse, I would suggest going ahead with a chin implant surgery which costs $3,000-$4,000.
If you're looking to create a more rounded, heart shape appearance of the face by augmenting a more square appearing chin, Radiesse or Voluma would be great volumizing options.
I am not sure what you desire the filler for...I am assuming it is for projection of the chin. If you are not interested in a chin implant (which provides projection), then I use Radiesse. It does last about a year and does a great job of projecting the chin.
I routinely treat facial scars with fillers such as Restylane. If you are worried about the virus recurring you can consult your treating physician about treating you with Valtrex before your injections. Lasers can also help with the scars such as V-Beam or Fraxel laser. Please be certain to...
A real witches chin requires surgery to eliminate. You may only have prejowl depressions which can be helped with fillers. A facelift with correction of sagging skin and jowls will give the best result since this is the problem.
"A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the...
