Are Jessner Peels Safe on Darker-Olive Skin Types?

I am 44 yrs old Hispanic female with darker skin tone. Recently, I had been breaking out with acne on my face and have been using Retinol products. The product has been helpful but I wanted to improve my skin's complexion and brown spots left from acne. Can a Jessner peel help my skin type and how many applications and strengths should I request for optimal signs of improvement of my skin?

Jessner peels are an excellent choice for patients with darker skin. Be sure to stop using the retinol product at least 3 days before the peel. All peels of a risk of irritation and hyperpigmentation so make sure you get your peel from a licensed professional who is experience working with dark skin.

This is the perfect peel for darker skin types. It targets pigment without being too aggressive to cause a lot of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Usually 2 or 3 peels at 4-8 week intervals does the job.
