Could I get a jawline implant or sliding genioplasty for a stronger more defined jawline? (photos)

if you want more defined jawline you will need an early face/neck lift followed by threads to maintain, fillers. you can get customized implants for chin and jawline but they may make you look wider.


most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus or pixel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift.  an early face lift /neck lift with or without buccal fat pad reduction can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done.


For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed.  Options include:
1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face

3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender
4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined
5. early face/neck lift with platysmaplasty or maxillofacial surgery (bone shaving or implants) 

6. botox/dysport/xeomin on the neck for platysmala bands and neck tightening

The definition and projection of your chin can be improved with a chin implant or genioplasty. In order to provide better definition to your jawline I would recommend custom jaw angle implants. All these procedures produce permanent changes. In the second phot it appears that your chin is a bit short which may benefit from a genioplasty. An office consultation is needed to give you the best advice.

Based on these photos you seem to be a candidate for chin augmentation, sliding or chin implant. Jawline may be accentuated with addition of fat grafts deep over bone to increase definition. In person consultation with a plastic surgeon familiar with these procedures is recommended. Good luck.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from chin augmentation. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Chin implants and genioplasty are both great options for more chin definition. Chin implants can give you horizontal projection while a genioplasty can give you both horizontal and vertical projection. In younger patients like yourself, skin tightening devices such as Ultherapy, Profound, or FaceTite can help give that more "defined" jawline by tightening the neck skin. Chin or full wrap jaw implants can be customized as well. I often design custom facial implants after a patient undergoes a CT scan. These options really depend on the aesthetic look you are trying to achieve.

A sliding genioplasty achieves a stronger chin but not a better defined jawline. Only a custom jawline implant creates both a more defined chin and jawline.

A sliding genioplasty is performed by an oral surgeon under general anesthesia in a hospital setting with an overnight stay, and is much more invasive. This procedure is usually performed when the teeth are significantly out of alignment. Placement of a chin implant with wings should be about all you need. If there's fat deposits in the neck underneath your jawline, simple liposuction may be of some benefit. Both of these procedures can be performed under local anesthesia. Be very careful about trying to put a jawline implantation since it can masculinize your facial features.

Your perspective is valid and can readily be achieved. The key is to ensure the combined procedures are artistically performed to ensure a natural and properly feminine contour.
