I have not heard of neurologic side effects since as Alzheimer's and MS with Finasteride application.  I have many of my patients take it Monday thru Friday and not on the weekends.  I have spoken with other hair restoration specialists who do the same.  This can give the hormone systems that could be affected a little timeout without changing the effectiveness.  Consult with your physician about any change in dosage intervals.

Great question, We did a Propecia hair loss study and I have read Propecia studies and I am not aware of that possible neurological side effect. You should contact the doctor  that prescribed the medication for further discussion. Good luck

It is known that finasteride does interact with brain function in some individual and it is a known rare side effect. I don't believe there is evidence for a connection to Alzheimers or MS
