I have wide nose. I want to cut the alar (nose wings). Is there way to heal it without scarring?

i have wide nose i want to cut the alar (nose wings) so it can get narrower i heard it causes scarring is there way to heal it without scarring if not what is there way to have narrower nose that looks natural?

Usually alar reduction scar is hardly visible. Still you may be concerned as scar healing in east asia people is poor.you can discuss about alar base reduction through intra oral incision or tip elevation  reducing alar flare with your plastic surgeon.

Unfortunately without a photo it is difficult to comment, because your interpretation of wide and mine may be different. There are many ways to decrease the size; at the alar-facial groove, and alar sill are two examples.Please find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area who performs a lot of these type procedures. Alar base reduction incisions typically heal very nicely if they are positioned correctly and performed meticulously. Laser resurfacing can be highly beneficial to "blend" in the incisions if they have any irregularity 6 weeks post-surgery. The bottom line is that every incisions creates a scar but proper placement and careful closure of these incisions usually creates a very natural look. Some plastic surgeons are not well versed in alar base surgery and this can result in disastrous outcomes. Seek a surgeon who performs alot of alar base modification if this is what you desire.
