My right breast hurts constantly after fat transfer. Why?

I had a fat transfer to my breasts. I've always had very "lumpy " breasts and usually the pain comes when I am about to get my period. However after the fat transfer 97 percent of the time, my right breast (ok the outside close to the armpit) it hurts. Is it dangerous?

Fat transfer to the breast is usually less painful than a breast implant. Some pain can come from the injection of fat in the breast muscle. I do not know how long time ago you had your surgery that pain after two weeks is highly unusual a you should see your plastic surgeon as soon as possible, to eliminate an infection that can destroy the result. Another possibility is a cyst, if some time has passed since surgery. This is not dangerous but needs to be taken care of..Call for an appointment to your plastic surgeon.Kind regardssignatory

Hello and thank you for your question. I would strongly suggest that you return to see you ps for an evaluation. I don't know how long you are out from surgery but constant pain is unusual and you should be examined. Peter Fisher M.D.
