She is very professional and great, I'm very happy of the result. I love her stuff who were very nice and kind. I forgot the name of the doctor who works with her but he is so nice and skilled and answer all my concerns confidently. Doctor Bergeret-Galley is so friendly and helpful. I want to thank also doctor Ghaniah who gave me anesthesia, she speaks Arabic as my language and this helps a lot . Thank you Dr. Bergeret, you are the best in Paris and any place you go:)
I chose Dr. Bergeret-Galley after conducting extensive research on highly accredited plastic surgeon botox practitioners in Paris. I was convinced after seeing her photo online as she herself is incredibly elegant and natural looking. My face moves normally but I look fresher and more relaxed. She has a very light, judicious touch, placing little injections all over the forehead so everything is balanced and slightly lifted. My face movements are as they were before, but every crease is softer. There is no weird puckering of the skin around the forehead when I lift my eyebrows, as is often the case with botox, or awkward pointy eyebrows. It's exactly what I could've hoped for.
Pulled the trigger after fighting stubborn fat and face droop that is likely due to genetics and years of high-stress job. About me: 46yo soon, 6ft tall, weighed 193lbs prior to surgery, considered myself in okay shape (more of an outdoor person than a gym person). Main body issue was large stomach and thighs. I am currently on Day 5 and in 'Recovery.' Prior to making this decision, I ruled out Cool Sculpt for several reasons: the amount of belly fat I wanted to remove; I met a doctor that could address both the body fat and aging face; CS cost was almost the same and lipo seems more permanent. Also, I caught a break in that my husband's employment moved us to Paris for a year and gave me a break from my job so I could take more downtime. My Fench is bad, so I was a little nervous about getting the surgery abroad. However, my doctor speaks English and between my French and their English, I was able to navigate the clinic. Pain: Let's not kid each other - it hurts. The worst was my third night. The anesthesia really messed my by digestive track and the gas was very painful. Gas X didn't help. I finally used some Vitamin C with Quecertin that I had on hand - a natural anti-inflammatory - and it helped. So night 3 was a combo of gas pain and sitting on the toilet trying to relieve that pain ..... On thighs that had been liposuctioned. My husband has had to help me several times get off the bed, toilet and out of car - you feel like a mule kicked you in the abs. However, the pain medicine helped. And sleeping pills. It wasn't intolerable....I would say an 8 on a scale of 1-10 at its worst. Today, Day 5, I would say it is a 4-5. My Fat: I am still swollen in the torso and thighs and wearing the garment .... so it's hard to tell. I haven't weighted myself and won't until later (other reviews I read said don't weigh yourself right after- the weight is artificial due to swelling and fluctuation). My goal wasn't to lose weight but to reduce by spare tire so clothes fit better. My belly bulge is definitely smoothed out and thighs look smaller. Watch for updates. My face: I had liposuction on my neck and fat transferred to my cheeks, chin, lips and nose. I know - my nose! I didn't expect that but, so far, that is my favorite part. My doctor smoothed out my bumpy bridge and somehow lifted the tip slightly. It looks cute! The rest: I have black eyes, my face is swollen, I look like I've been in a good fist fight. However, I expected this, am not going to freak out and will wait before judging results. Watch this space for updates. Updated on 19 Feb 2016: Before photos taken day of surgery. Updated on 19 Feb 2016: Day of surgery. Face wrapped up after lipo of neck and fat transfer to cheeks, chin, nose and temples. No body pics yet - basically am sucked into the sexy post-lipo garment. Updated on 19 Feb 2016: A pretty awesome black eye developed the day after surgery. Headed to my 48 hour post op visit incognito. At post op, permanent face bandage was removed and was give a removable chin strap. Updated on 19 Feb 2016: On Day 6 of Recovery, here are my tips for surviving liposuction and facial fat transfer. Am sure there is more..... 1) A Go Girl or similar type funnel that may allow you to pee standing or, if you sit, helps prevent dribbling in your garment (which will happen despite best efforts). ((Standing to pee takes control - practice in shower before surgery.)) 2) Wet Ones - see previous. Also, your face will be numb and you may dribble on your chin. 3) if you can afford it, an extra compression garment because, again, dribbles happen. 4) Padded toilet seat for your lipo'd butt & thighs. 5) a tall straight back chair put by toilet to help you get up and down (or a rented walker). 6) a tall table by the side of your bed - if too short, you engage your abs- ouch. 7) Bendy straws. 8) Something to distract or ward off pets that won't understand why they can't lay on your lap when you are in bed. You don't need a cat using your belly as a trampoline while you are napping. 9) A tall stiff shopping bag that you can reach laying in bed that can hold all the creams, medicines, etc that you want near by. 10) A body pillow. I have a big one and a smaller one to out behind my back. 11) A big box of really good chocolate. My doctor told me to eat a little bit of sugar/ good chocolate ever 4 hours to help feed the fat transfer. May as well make it good. My personal favorite is Lindt. Updated on 20 Feb 2016: Feeling frustrated with recovery. Swelling goes up and down. Had my garments off to wash them (wish I would have bought 2nd pair) and I swelled up. I was already convinced they were not cut well for tall/ long torso people (am 6' and it just reaches the bottom of my ribs). Garments have been really uncomfortable since putting them back on. Lips are really swollen (my husband called them Bart Simpson lips), chin and cheeks are unevenly swollen and things are just generally bruised and tender. Logically, I know this is all to be expected but it can get to you after a few days of laying in bed and relying on others. Am posting Day 6 photos - they aren't pretty but they are the reality. I am including a view of my neck that I didn't post pre-op. I had a thyroid cyst removed at age 11 (35 years ago) that left me with a long scar and indentation from bone removal - causing me to have an Adam's apple look. The doctor injected fat into the indentation and at points along the scar hoping to smooth it out. She wasn't able to smooth it as much as she wanted, she said post surgery, but it is better. Now going to binge watch The Unbreakabke Kimmy Schmidt to cheer myself up..... Updated on 24 Feb 2016: Day 7 and I hadn't had a bowel movement since surgery! Prob TMI, but make sure you have laxatives on hand if your doctor doesn't give you anything. My POST surgery research indicates this is a common side effect. I was SOOOO miserable in my garments! My doctor got me in and a couple laxatives and diuretics later, I got over it. I finally feel like I've turn the corner and things are downhill from here. I still have black eyes and bruising on thighs but it is less. I can see results in my face - subtle, but that this what I wanted. Body is less noticeable, but some, but getting better. Fingers cross! Thanks for encouragement! Am posting Day 7 face pics. Including my neck showing chin lipo and healing around fat transfer to my old scar. No body pics - pretty much same as last time just less bloated. Updated on 29 Feb 2016: 2 weeks and, if I had to vote today, I would say NOT worth it. Weeks #1's main problem = extreme constipation. Extreme. Week #2's = bloating and the garments - so uncomfortable and tight that I can't sleep without a sleeping pill. Body: I can't tell much difference in my body - it just looks like I've been wearing compression garments and eating reasonably healthy for a couple of weeks. I still have bruises (less) and bloating. I am not posting body pics - just like last ones but bruising is somewhat less. Face: I was initially happy with my face - it looked Ike I was going to have great cheeks and lips once the swelling went down but when it did, it went down so much that I can't really tell I had the transfer. However, I DID ask for very subtle changes - just as if I had gotten a good rest (that's how you know you are getting old - you always look tired no matter what, right?). And I asked for modest lipo - just to smooth out the bumps. I know changes may be subtle or slow....that this may be part of the whole psychological process (what did I just do to my body? Why did I spend this money? I don't think it worked!) ...so I am reserving judgment until later.
Like the typical woman I hated my stomach, butt, and thighs. Well the TT was done and it was time to work on the thighs. I am an active person who lost 80+ pounds and now loves to run. Unfortunately the running was making my thighs and by butt jiggle and actually became painfull. I decided the lift was the best option. My surgeon made sure I knew what was to be expected and I went for it. I am very happy to say that 4" off each leg and being able to run without all the extra wiggling makes me one happy person.
After two c-sections & a weight loss of about 80 lbs, my stomach looked like a built in apron. I love to run but it was painful with the skin bouncing up & down. I made the consultation appointment and we spoke of my options. The doctor was very honest, caring, and informative to what would be the best option for me. The surgery was about 6 hours long and I spent 1 night in the hospital. The recovery was tough for a few weeks but by week 7 I was running a 5K with no problems. My stomach is flat and I am so excited about the results. She did an amazing job. Updated on 16 Jul 2014: Updated on 16 Jul 2014:
After an over 100lb weight loss through hard a$$ work and not gastric bypass, then two pregnancies my tummy was a floppy mess of skin. Had full tummy tuck with muscle repair on Nov 7, 2012. Waiting for swelling to bugger off but happy thus far with how it all looks!!! Of course it hurt a bit but so did hating how I looked every single day! Updated on 29 Nov 2012: November 29th -- 3 weeks and 1 day post-op. Other than what I call my 'dough roll" above my incision (not seroma, just normal swelling) I am beyond thrilled. I have zero pain other than muscle soreness from time to time. My walking is incredibly slow which frustrates me but hey, I'll deal with it. Had a great post-op visit yesterday. Am bandage-free and incision-free and am allowed to ditch the awful compression garment next week. I have mixed feelings about that but I think that is pretty normal. My doc said I'm healing exactly as expected and she's happy with that. Yay!! I have to also note that the aftercare doctor who works with Dr Bergeret-Galley is AMAZING (but in my brain fog, I can't remember his name). He's actually had a tummy tuck with muscle repair and total "gets"what you are going through physically and emotionally which is a huge help for me. Have planned a beach vacation for May. Hoping my swelling is less substantial by then lol. Updated on 4 Dec 2012: So tomorrow is 4 weeks post-op! Wow time flies once the pain is gone. I'm still swollen and the lower belly above te incision is rock hard still. I can fit pre-op jeans but by late afternoon they start to hurt. I get scared sometimes because everything you do involves the ab muscles in some capacity. Getting in/out of the car, rolling over in my sleep, etc. Is this fear normal?!? Updated on 8 Dec 2012: 4.5 weeks post-op and still swelling but WAY more mobile and enjoying life more :-) Updated on 8 Jan 2013: Omg how did I get to 2 months already!!!! Swelling is MUCH better and I'm back to exercising. I feel somewhat normal again despite a few moments where I realize I still can't do things like Yoga with my girlfriends. I have no regrets anymore and everyday am happier with how I look. Updated on 12 May 2014: And I want to say to all those out there *thinking* about doing this surgery DO NOT WAIT another day. It is the best decision I have ever made. I am more confident. Feel sexy again and love shopping. Any scars or pain I went through cannot hold a candle to how good I feel.
After a difficult delivery where I was torn, my sexual life became a nightmare so I decided for a vaginoplasty. Searching for half an year for a surgeon in Europe ( which is not an easy thing to find a surgeon able to do a vaginoplasty in Europe...), I finally decided to be operated by Dr Bergeret-Galley in Paris. The contact by emails was easy, the assistant discussed about all the details and aswered to me to all my concerns. We made the booking of the surgery quickly ( because I really wanted it ASAP) and went to Paris for it. The live consultation with the Doctor was... I would say, not very friendly. She tried to be polite though, but I could feel her antipaty against me. Anyway, that s not important. What I didn t really like was one of her replies when I asked her how many fingers will I be after the surgery, because for the moment I was three fingers. Her reply was very acid and cut my mood, saying that that s not important and if I want, I can think more and come back another time for the surgery. I was there especially for this surgery, spent money for flights, hotel and had to take vacation and she said me this!!! I passed over it and let it be operated by her, because was in any case no other better choices, except going to USA, which was far away from my possibilities. The next day I was in the hospital and have been operated under general anestezia. After I woke up from the anestezia, I felt really bad because this is the way my body usually reacts at general anestezia, heavy nausea, voma, headache, weakness. I was surprised to be kicked out just after 5-6 h after the surgery when they change the shift, though I payed for a night in the hospital. My state was really bad and if my partner was not with me, I don t know how I would have been able to get back into my hotel alone. I was extremely dizzy, I was vomiting in the taxi and terrible headache. I don t think this was normal, to be sent home immediately after being under a general anestezia. I passed over this too... The first days were a bit difficult, I was mostly in the bed, but the surgery seemed to be ok. I was desinfecting it each time after going at the toilet and was almost not at all painful, or maybe it was just bcause my level of pain is quite high. After 8 weeks I was having the first sexual contact and was a bit painful but it went good with time. Now I am 4 months after the surgery and I would say that the result is not what I was expecting... I am sure that she could have done it better at the level of tightness, but probably she didn t want it. The entrance ( the perineum) is still a bit open and you can see that one two stiches are missing from there. There is a difference, but not as much as I wanted, especially for this price- 5000€. I was looking at pictures from other surgeons from USA and what I see there is quite different, the perineum look quite closed. If I will ever have the possibility, I will make it again, but this time with a surgeon from USA. Updated on 10 Apr 2015: I do every day Kegels and I must admit that I can hold them much more than before the surgery...though, if there is a resistance, for example during intercourse, I feel I can t squeeze him. The big disappointment is that the Doctor didn t sew the perineum enough, and you can still see the vagina a bit open.
Hello, From your photos it is quite clear that a lifting will be necessary together with an implant, the question is only what kind of lifting. You write that you want a youthful breast, and as in my experience , a doughnut incision usually gives a flat breast, I would do a vertical incision as well, besides a reduction of the areolas.Ask your surgeon to show you pictures of his results with the 2 techniques.Kind RegardsDr Catherine Bergeret Galley ParisFrance
Fat transfer to the breast is usually less painful than a breast implant. Some pain can come from the injection of fat in the breast muscle. I do not know how long time ago you had your surgery that pain after two weeks is highly unusual a you should see your plastic surgeon as soon as possible, to eliminate an infection that can destroy the result. Another possibility is a cyst, if some time has passed since surgery. This is not dangerous but needs to be taken care of..Call for an appointment to your plastic surgeon.Kind regardssignatory
It is difficult to give you a good answer without knowing more about you and history you have gone through. However the blood supply to the nipple is probably the least of your problems. I suppose that the reason for the three different incisions, has been repeated capsular contractures. Besides the internal scarring you also have a significant asymmetry, and a short distance between the nipple and the inframammary crease.I would recommend a staged procedure: beginning with implants from the inframammary crease, trying to eliminate the difference in size, and wait a couple of months before doing the lifting procedure. What plane the implant should be in, is depending on the condition of your pectoral muscle after the earlier surgeries.Kind regardsDr Catherine Bergeret GalleyParis, France
Some swelling after a tummy tuck is absolutely normal, and from the photos you have sent it does not look alarming in any way. Normally the swelling will settle downwards , and end up with a swelling above the incision, and that could last for another two months. However if you are concerned about if the repair of the abdominal wall is still intact: you should consult your plastic surgeon.Kind regardsDr Catherine Bergeret GalleyParis, France
As I can see from your information and pictures it is basically 2 problems. It seems like you are missing the conical shape of the breasts and a nipple on the left side looks to be withdrawn inside the breast. Regarding the size it can be corrected in two ways, either with an implant of smaller size, or by injection of your own fat to increase the volume to a B cup. Regardless of which of these two methods you would choose, you will need a revision surgery to correct the shape at the same time, but not before six months has passed.Catherine Bergeret GalleyParisFrance
