I have an implant and a severe inflammation with pus and blood coming out from it. Could the be abutment be causing this?(photo)

From the X-ray you show, it seems the abutment may not be fully seated on the implant. Aside from that, any time there is bleeding around an implant, but especially pus, an infection  is present. Having said this, there are many reasons for implant failure. This should be evaluated immediately by either the dentist placing the implant or the one restoring the implant.

You don't say if your dentist placed the implant or whether it was an oral surgeon or periodontist. I would suggest seeing a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who does lots of implants. Have them do a complete exam and consultation and see what they think your options are.

Without assessing the area it would be difficult to determine what exactly is causing your infection. There could be a number of reasons as to why there is pus and blood present, such as infection at the implant site - sometimes bacteria can get into an area and cause infection. A failing implant could be another reason. There is no method to accurately predict the implant and bone healing capabilities, therefore, sometimes an implant may fail and must be removed. Failure can occur for a number of reasons: infection, restoring the implant prematurely before it's completely healed, or some bodies simply reject the implant at first. In very rare instances does ones body not accept a dental implant at all. Poor home care, lack of professional cleanings, smoking or other medical issues could cause a person's body to not accept an implant.
