I went into surgery size between E34 and F34 Now,5 weeks post surgery I'm between D34 and E 34 The size me and the doctor were talking about was C34 I'm really disappointed, is it possible that my breast will get a size smaller in the healing process? Am I just getting upset over nothing? Or the size after 5 weeks is a good indication for the true results.

Answer: Breast reduction surgery: How long until I can see the actual new size? Although I do understand your concerns, it is still too early to see the final outcome after breast reduction surgery. You will likely find that your breasts will change in size/shape over the course of the next several months. Generally, best to evaluate outcome of breast reduction surgery after at least six months has passed. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with longer-term.

Answer: Breast Reduction Thank you for your question regarding the size of your breasts. In my 35 years of experience, the standard breast reduction reduces your breast size by one half. You will have to go through the healing process for about 6 months first. Initially, you will have a period of swelling for 6-12 weeks, then some refinements in size and shape. Don't be alarmed if your size changes at a slower pace than you were expecting. At 5 weeks, you are in the early stages of healing, and your breasts will get smaller over time. Congrats on your result. DR.Thomas Narsete, Denver, Co
