After a sinus lift surgery and dental implants, the main concern is the integrity of the forming blood clot as well as the sinus lining itself. That comes with any suction motion including smoking, vaping, or even using a straw. smoking increases failure rate of implant / surgery. and its proven in many studies. so there r more chances of implant failure in smokers as compare to non-smokers. it is advisable to avoid smoking.
