Is this cancer? Basal cell carcinoma? (Photo)

Hi In the picture you will see a raised bump on my leg about1.5cm in diameter and irregular shaped. It appeared a few years ago as a red patch kind of a crater dipping in the centre. I was in the sun the last month and no its raised to a bubble like lump. What do you think it is? Basal cell carcinoma? Thanks so much denise
