Getting IPL and Botox in the same day is perfectly fine. These two treatments are great together as IPL addresses pigmentation, excessive redness and unsightly blood vessels, enlarged pore size, excessive hair and skin texture while Botox treats and smooths forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet and frown lines. The combination of the two result in a nice comprehensive effect. Be sure to seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist or an expert in injections and lasers to get the best results!
Yes, it is perfectly fine to have IPL and a Botox treatment on the same day. In my practice, we generally prefer to do the IPL first lying down and then do the Botox in an upright position. These two treatments work well in tandem as the IPL addresses skin textural and pigmentation issues while the Botox smooths wrinkles in the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet, leading to a nice comprehensive effect. This type of combination therapy gives great results.
These can be done together without any problems there is no need to wait to do them. Best, Dr. Emer.
It is perfectly safe to get an IPL treatment after Botox. If you are going to have them done the same day, I'd do the IPL first, then the Botox. Otherwise, if they are different days, it doesn't matter which you do first.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Facial Plastic SpecialistQuintessa Aesthetic Centers
You can do IPL first, then inject botox; however, I prefer to keep them separate to decrease any risk of possible decrease healing time from the IPL. It is best to consult your treatment plan with a board certified dermatologist, Best, Anita Gill MD@gillderm
It is safe to have both Botox and IPL treatments on the same day but the IPL treatment should be done first, then the Botox treatment.
Yes it is safe to have an IPL and Botox on the same day. It is better to have the IPL treatment first and then have Botox.
I routinely combine Botox and IPL treatment in the same patient. Botox relaxes the muscles which cause wrinkles, while IPL targets surface sun damage with pulses of light. You can do these two treatments on the same day, but I would prefer to do IPL first in that case.
IPL can increase photosensitivity immediately after treatment, but not four months later. We always advise avoiding the sun and being diligent about applying broad-spectrum sunscreen and protective clothing following treatment. Perhaps your sunscreen only provided UVB protection, as the SFP...
It depends on the state as to who can perform IPL. My patients ant me to perform this procedure so I do. Best, Dr. Emer.
