Early in transition, later in life. I'll begin hormone therapy in 2023, and ultimate transition goal is to have a functional and penetrable vagina while preserving my penis.is this possible?

There are many questions to consider when getting a penile preserving vaginoplasty. These include the following: 1. Where do you want the urine to exit? You you want to stand to pee, or do you want to sit down to void? 2. Do you want to keep your testicles? Some gender non-conforming patients request keeping their testes. 3. If your testicles are removed, what do you want to do with your scrotum? Do you want to keep it? If not, ...4. Do you desire labia minora? 
If can be very difficult to create labia and not move the site where the urine exits by the vaginal canal. These are all things you should think through and have answered before your consult with a surgeon.

It is possible to perform penile-sparing vaginoplasty as a gender confirmation surgery. However, it requires a larger surgery. We also get less satisfactory results. What we think is that you should reevaluate your feelings after you have had your hormonal treatment.
