Does laser hair removal work on males? Is its effectiveness consistent across different body parts?

I had 9 sessions of Alma Soprano Titanium last year for my upper lip, lower lip, and chin with sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. However, there was minimal hair reduction. Four months later, I tried another diode laser (Vikini) on the same area. After 3 sessions, I noticed a reduction in my upper lip and chin, but some parts of my chin still have coarse hair, and there was no reduction on my lower lip. Should I continue? Is laser hair removal permanently reduce other parts of the body like pubic?

Yes, you can have laser hair removal. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best. It will take a series of treatments to get improvement. Please know that it will take a series of treatments to get improvement. I typically have patients do laser hair removal every 4 weeks for the first 3 sessions and then every 4 to 6 weeks for the following 3 sessions. This schedule gives great results with hair removal.
