I've been feeling down and irritated about my left boob (your right) because it still feels high and I can see and feel that it sits high but my doctor won't acknowledge this. I've seen my doctor three times since I got out of surgery and each time I have voiced concerns about my left boob and my doctor has told me that it all looks fine and I need to stop looking in the mirror for imperfections. But my skin feels tight and pulling still on the left side. Is this normal at 4 months post op?
Answer: Four months post-op and one boob still sits high but my doctor says everything is fine? There is some asymmetry in your preop photos with your left breast sitting higher on your chest and being slightly smaller. These differences tend to be magnified when the breasts are enlarged. It would be nice to see a picture of you with both arms at your side as this gives the most accurate view of your breasts. From the pictures presented, the asymmetry is obvious. If a larger implant was used on the left side and the fold not lowered, more of the implant volume will show up in the upper breast. You may also have some capsular contracture on the left or the pocket could just be tighter than the right. Only an in person exam can determine exactly what is going on. You may need pocket revision and/or implant exchange if this doesn't improve on its own. You could try wearing a sports bra and pulling the bra up over the left side so that it pushes down on the left breast, then wear another softer bra on top to cover your breasts. The downward force will sometimes help. If not, revision surgery is your best option.

Answer: One breast still higher after augmentation All breasts are different right to left before and after any surgery. Your left appears slightly higher and tighter- this can take more than 6 months. Gentle massage of the pocket under guidance and close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended during this time.

Answer: Implant dropping Dear mybajourneyxx,Dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Four months post-op and one boob still sits high but my doctor says everything is fine? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Depending on how your healing has going, and if different size implants were used this may still be normal healing as your left breast was the smaller/tighter side. If the breast has not hardened over the last four months I would recommend allowing at least six months to pass in order to allow your left breast skin time to stretch and settle. If nothing changes either your implant pocket was a bit too small and a revision may be needed to improve your results. Hope this helps.

Answer: BA Always one breast is upper than other, for some persons is minimal, for other are more obvious. According your pictures, I can see your your left breast previously upper and smaller than the right. I see your surgeon respect those inframammary sulcus, then now with more volume it is more evident. You looks great and -normal-, but any case a surgical revision it is possible in order to gain some more of symmetry, but in my opinion, not really necessary.
