My two front teeth are sort of long, on the right side of my two front teeth, the tooth is crooked and makes one of my two front teeth look extremely long. How can I fix this?
Answer: How can I make my two front teeth look shorter? If you do have long teeth or need to correct the shape of existing tooth, it is best to find a good cosmetic dentist, that is experienced in COSMETIC CONTOURING of your smile line. The dentist must know how much can be removed from the enamel, and not expose the dentin on your tooth. In some cases if indicated, tooth movement is your other option, if you do not want your existing teeth to be contoured and shaped, in which that will take longer time to get the results.Best of Luck !

Answer: Correct the teeth to the side of the front teeth first It is somewhat difficult to assess this from the picture that you have posted, but I would first correct the length, contour and alignment of the side teeth (lateral incisors). Once that is done, you might find that the length of the front teeth (central incisors) is not as severely long as they now appear. If the front teeth still appear too long after that, then they can be carefully shortened and contoured, but probably much less than if you were to jump right in and start shortening them first.

Answer: Shortening Teeth In our cosmetically oriented office, "Center for Esthetic Dentistry, LLC" we use Sharpies. We first sterilize the enamel edge of the tooth, then we preview the "look" by drawing the black ink over the incisal edges. Little by little we virtually shorten the tooth until we get the look our patient and we want. Then it is very easy to cosmetically contour the tooth with the hand-piece. Takes all the guess work out of the final result. Everyone is happy. You can do this too. At least the virtual part. Just have a little alcohol around to remove the black ink. Don't worry - it comes off easily. The harder part will be to find someone who can do the re-shaping. Call at least three dentists in your community whose websites you like. When you call in, interview the staff about the dentist. Do they go to him? What is she like? How are his cosmetic results? You will be surprised what you learn about the office. You are looking for a skilled dentist who you think will listen to you. Then do the same thing in the office with the Sharpie so you both know where to have the final result be. Have fun! Enjoy your new smile!
