I just got picosure focus done on upper arm. There are small concentrated dots of brown in certain areas. Also some areas look darker. Its been 48 hours since the laser. Is this temporary? How long will it take to heal?

Thanks for you question.  We tell our patients not to be surprised if their brown spots appear darker after treatment.  It is the pigment moving closer to the surface.  Sometimes they get larger or new spots appear.  They will start fading soon.  If you are concerned, please contact your treating physician.  I hope this helps.

I would strongly advise that you use a very good sunblock. Also, you should use 4-8% HQ or Lytera to decrease your risk of this. I would hold off your second session until these fade, but don't worry they will fade. No one can tell you how long this will take, but I suspect, you will see a lot of improvement in 4-6 weeks. don't suntan this area!!david berman md
