Using Minoxidil but no results. Should I stop?

Am 22 now, am using minoxidle for the past 2 years, now I lost much of the hairs probably in nw3v. Even now am using REGAIN 5%, but my hairs still shedding everyday. Parallely occasionally am using neutriderm anti hairloss lotion and shampoo(weekly 2-3 times) am shedding around 100 hairs as soon as I apply minoxidle and comb my hairs. Should I stop using minoxidle? And am thinking to go for fue. Please guide me .am worrying a lot. Ps: both my father and grand father has bald head, nw5

I would stop Minoxidl and consider using finasteride. If there is a strong family history of hair loss you should consider being evaluated for a hair transplant.

Though Minoxidil can often be helpful, it is not the treatment of choice for male pattern hair loss. Your best bet if you think you have less hair now than you did when you started the minoxidil 2 years ago would be to see a hair loss expert for an evaluation and to get started on finasteride. I also recommend low level laser therapy (LLLT) for very young patients who want to do everything possible to keep their hair. But I wouldn't consider a hair transplant until you can go at least a year without thinking that you are still losing hair, especially at your age and with your family history of balding. Right now, it is more important for you to stabilize your hair loss than to start replacing it. And if the time comes that the timing is right for surgery, keep your mind open to both FUT and FUE since one or the other might be a better option for your particular situation.
