Freckles, acne scarring, and pigmentation and use neostrata smoothing cream. Dermamelan following a glycolic acid 10% cream?

My skin type is III to IV. I have been using it for around 2 weeks continuous but could only see a 30 %improvement overall. I now consider taking Dermamelan by mesoestetic. Is it safe as I have been using neostrata or do I need to consider a gap before taking Dermamelan? What are the expected side effects or precautions to consider?
