Whether it is cold or hot outside should not prevent patients from having Botox or fillers. There is no evidence that temperature differentials can affect the longevity of the results of Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero, Sculptra, fat injections, Botox, Dysport or Xeomin.
There are no contraindications for injection of a dermal filler and/or neurotoxin during a heatwave that are documented. Discuss any concerns you have with your provider for further education.
There really is no concern as far as outdoor heat and the use of Botox or fillers like Restylane or Juvederm. While we generally don't want our patients to go into a sauna, jacuzzi, or steamroom for the first 48hrs, this really has more to do with increased swelling and bruising that can occur with prolonged heat exposure and when the needle pokes are still healing. We'd be happy to assess you at Toronto Dermatology Centre, phone: 416-633-0001.
It is not a problem, come on in! Matter of fact, you might sweat less after having the Botox!
Environmental conditions should have no effect on Botox or demal filler products. Just like sunlight and exercise won't effect your results, neither will the outside temperature or humidity. I hope this information is helpful.Stephen Weber MD, FACS
Dear Belledajour, If the products you inquired about have been handled correctly during their shipping and processing and they have been maintained according to their guidelines in the doctor's offices, there should be no problem with injecting the HA products or Botox/Dysport during the hot months of the summer. Hope this helps.
There should not be a problem with you having treatment with Botox and Restylane even if it is hot outside.
Having either fillers or Botox during a heat wave should not be a problem at all. The injections (I assume) will be done indoors setting most likely air conditioned anyway. Regardless the heat will not affect the outcome.
Botox and Restylane are kept at controlled temperatures in the office. There is no problem having them injected in hot or cold weather, but you should not apply heat to the areas at home.
In the high temperatures injecting Botox or fillers should not be a problem. Enjoy the products and stay out of the heat!
I agree with Dr Steinsapir that Restylane and boxing are likely to be safe. However, Restylane or Juvederm will be used to cover up subtle soft tissue lines or hollows. Whereas boxing puts you at risk for significant soft tissue trauma vs. not to subtle fractures of your facial bones. I would...
Our eyes command so much attention on the part of outside observers that practically anything we do to enhance the attractiveness of this region can make a disproportionate improvement in our overall appearance. Given that any growths, be they skin tags, milia (small cysts), hydrocystomas (water...
If Restylane was injected to the tear trough area only, it's hard to imagine that you would have the type of reaction you are explaining, in your forehead. It's normal to have some bruising and/or swelling around the area or areas injected post treatment, peaking around day 3.
Monocheek is a cheek contour that blends right into the lower eyelid lashes. Not so pretty. You are simply too full in the inner corner at the top of the cheek. This is a very common situation. Please do not attempt to wait this situation out. I have seen these persisting...
However, what you are describing is not Restylane traveling to a different part of the face but simply settling in the same part of the face. In particular the nasolabial fold treatment, especially at the top were it goes to the base of the nose, is under tension. Filler here can...
The use of Restylane in the lower lid - cheek junction is occasionally associated with swelloing and with bruising but this is not the rule. When BLUNT TIP cannula needles are used (instead of the sharp needles found in the filler box), the incidence of bruising (especially in people who...
