Latisse no longer effective?

Question

Began using Latisse in April. After bout 30 day began noticing great improvement in length, etc. after about 7 months I noticed redness and began experiencing itching. Now the lashes appear to be shedding. I’ve lost all the long lashes and they don’t appear to be growing. Could I have received a bd bottle?

It is possible to over apply the Latisse.  1 drop to the sterile applicator for each eye should be applied to the upper lid only and blot any access.  When the 5ml bottle is finished discontinue usage and repeat 3 months later.  Only buy your product from a reputable MD practice and not online store because the storage and shipping of Latisse can effect the product.

Eventually Latisse results may plateau. A combination approach is needed. In combination with Latisse, I typically inject and apply topically PRP for a few treatments at the beginning to improve the growth rate of the lashes. Take viviscal as well. It’s unlikely you received a bad bottle albeit not impossible. The more likely reasons are various skin reactions to either the product or intrinsic skin issues that are also related to why the lashes were thinning in the first place. I would advise seeing a dermatologist to review. There are many many reason for the phenomenon.

Hi Fitby53, When lashes are in the resting phase, there is very little that can be done to coax lashes to grow faster. However, growth is cyclical and eventually, Latisse can again be effective. Please have your eyes checked since any eye infection actually stunts the growth of lashes and may cause these to fall.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
