Thank you for your questions. The final size and shape of the areola can be determined and customized based on your goals. Most patients want a smaller and more symmetric areola and so that is why most surgeons attempt to achieve this goal. However, I have had patients who want to keep their original size and shape and most often those requests can be accommodated. Just discuss your goals with your board certified plastic surgeon.Hope this helps!
The Bellesoma Methodallows the areolas to be whatever side you desire. The average size is approximately 42millimeters but I have made areolas as large as 60 millimeters per a patient’srequest. You can choose whatever sizeyou desire. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
where your areola is cut away and moved, you should let your surgeon know what you want and what size you want (not everyone wants smaller areolas but most people do). If you want a more jagged edge, that can be customized to your procedure as well so no, you do not have to have the cookie cutter look after this procedure.
It is certainly possible to "customize" areola size and shape concerns with breast reduction surgery. My best advice: select your plastic surgeon carefully. Make sure that he/she has significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. Then, communicate your concerns, questions and preferences/goals carefully, as well. Working together you will come up with a good plan to achieve your goals. Best wishes.
Hi there just_bren and thanks for posting,Most patients want a smaller rounder areola, but it is certainly possible to vary this depending on patient preference. The final diameter is not totally predictable as there is always some stretch in the recovery phase but you can certainly trend to smaller or bigger as you desireBest wishesRichard
Based upon your photos of breast size and asymmetry, and your description of irritation under breasts, and grooves in shoulders and back, you would be a good candidate for breast reduction. None of us can predict what decisions insurance companies will make regarding coverage for BR sur...
The answer is that you can go about as small as you want to but the breast shape you can achieve may not be as aesthetic as if you stayed a little larger. Most surgeons are pretty reluctant to reduce a breast beyond what they consider to be a size at which they can get a good result. Some...
Hi, from the photos you have posted it looks like you may be suffering from an infection and / or fat necrosis of the breast. The blood loss appears to be minimal. I would suggest seeing your surgeon as soon as possible. Normally complications such as these are rare and should be possible to...
