Number of implant screws needed for 4 teeth?

I am missing my back four left upper teeth. Do I have to get an implant screw for each tooth? I know there's a way to put a whole section of teeth on 4 screws. Is there a way to get less than 4 screws for these 4 teeth? Will that change the cost of the implants?

Hi, thanks for your question... Yes you can get just 2 implants and do a dental bridge of 4 dental crowns, if you get the 4 implants is a little more secure because if one implant fail will be just one teeth but if you get 2 implants and one implant fail the complete job will miss. Good luck.

The ideal situation for anyone who looses teeth is to replace every single one of them, but at this point how expensive those it get for the patient?. In a long span is best to do the 4 or 3 implants, this is because if one of the implants fails you could still function depending on what implant is lost. Another factor to consider is whether you have enough bone in the areas were the sinus is close by, this will impact on the number of implants you can get , unless you do a sinus lift procedure to create the bone needed in the area. When and where you get implants, make sure you get an occlusal guard to protect your investment.

Hi Moondoggie. I like your name by the way. You do not have to get 4 implants if your bone is healthy. Your surgeon can determine if that is so. You could possibly do 2-3 implants and do a bridge replacing 4 teeth with the 2 implants as anchors. Check with your dentist to see how that could work.
Cost is variable:  about $2-2,500 per implant,  $4-5,000 for the bridge. This is a rough estimate. Just check with your dentist to firm up fees.
