How Much Does Vaser Liposelection Cost?

VASER liposuction is an ultrasound assisted liposuction procedure which uses the energy of the ultrasound was to cavitate (break up) the fat cells into smaller cells.  There are many different types of doctors who perform liposuction, but you need to be careful.  Price is not indicative of skill.  I have a practice in Miami, FL and New York, NY and my prices in NY are higher then in Miami due to geographical location.  Also, getting the best, lowest price does not mean you are getting the best result. VASER liposuction, and liposuction in general is a difficult procedure to perform and can have complications.  It is better to pay more for a talented, experienced physician then pay less and then have to pay more to get it corrected.  I charge a lot more for revisions than primary surgeries as it is harder to get a better result.  In Miami, I typically charge around $8000 for VASER lipo of abdomen, flanks, and inner thighs.  Do your homework and choose wisely.

The cost of Vaser Lipo depends on where in the world you are having it done, how may areas you are having treated and what type of Vaser you are thinking of having done ( Hi Def, Mid Def, with or without a fat graft). Unfortunately it not a cheap procedure and its important to get a full break down of all costs not just the actual vaser lipo treatment costs. Other costs to consider would be; garments, foam inserts, MLD sessions, IV sedation costs ( if required), pre surgery tests ( such as blood tests, ECG if indicated), costs associated with any complications, costs for revision surgeries/ touch ups etc.

Thank you for your question. With knowing the specifics of your surgical plan or the average rates of cosmetic surgery in your geographic area, that quote seems to be on the higher end of the spectrum. 
You are wise to research both the expertise of your surgeon as well as the average cost of cosmetic surgery procedures in your area. While it is certainly worth it to pay for expertise over going with the lowest quote available, it’s important to do your research and understand what you are paying for.
I do not charge a set price per area as different goals and different body sizes require differing amounts of time. That said, I am upfront and transparent about pricing during the initial visit, so that the patients feel confident in both the surgical plan and the price. I also work with patients who prefer a payment plan, as I know the out of pocket expenses can be challenging. 
Finally, I make certain to discuss all the associated cost with the patient. Payment plans include both the costs of the surgery as well as follow up care. After surgery I want my patients focused on their health and well being, free of any financial worries.

However, the exact cost would be definitively determined after a detailed evaluation which will be provided by a board certificated surgeon. 
Besides, in my practice, our Vaser Liposuction surgery's cost is roughly 2450 Euro.

Best would be to ask your surgeon to break down their costs.
Ask them how much would just the abdomen be.
How much just the flanks.
How much just the inner thighs.
Theoretically as you add an additional area it should go up in even increments.
$13500 seems a little high even for London standards.

I perform Laser Assisted Liposculpture using Smartlipo, Vaser LipoSelection, Hi Def Liposculpture, and ASC Abdominoplasty. As far as recovery. In my practice we don't quote by areas we quote but the overall procedure and what needs to be done.  If it is a hi definition procedure with fat grafting this is much more expensive due to the time it takes, level of skill and expertise, and difficulty in surgery.  I suggest seeing an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Costs can vary depending on the provider performing the procedure, the area of the body undergoing the treatment and the area of the country you reside. For the Washington DC metro region we may have slightly higher fees than other areas, especially if being performed by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and not by another specialist who may not be as thoroughly trained in aesthetic surgical procedures. Often the fees charged relate to the time that it takes to perform the liposuction. For example, the abdomen will take 2-3 times as long to contour as the inner thighs and the cost will reflect that. Typically the procedure is performed under twilight sedation or general anesthesia, both of which are administered in our practice by Board Certified Anesthesiologists.
