Should I be worried about my short roots if using Invisalign? (Photo)

Question

My middle teeth have shorter roots. Would I be on risk of loosing my 2 teeth later on in life if I get braces or invisalign? I got braces when I was a teen but I wanted to get braces again. Would you recommend me to get Invisalign or not?

Hey there,Yeah there is some shortening of the roots on the centrals. All orthodontists would like you to have a 2:1 Root to Crown ratio however sometimes ideal isn't an option. There is always a chance the root could become shorter throughout orthodontic treatment with any type of treatment (traditional or invisalign). The likelihood of you actually losing the the upper teeth would be very low. Especially under the care of a local orthodontist.
