Dissatisfied with lower face, what doctor/procedures should I be researching? (Photos)

I have always been dissatisfied with my lower face & side profile. The corners of my mouth have always been downturned, my face seems wide when I smile, I have no jawline & I have submental fullness, my chin dips on the sides & doesn't feel like it follows along my jaw bone. I also have issues with jaw clicking & locking & my upper lip covers my top teeth a bit. Should I be considering a maxilofacial surgeon & what procedures would give me a slimmer face and fix the issues above?

You could be a candidate for jaw surgery. Do you snore, or have any sleep problems like sleep apnea? I would consider having a consultation with a maxilofacial surgeon before getting cosmetic surgery. Jaw surgery could improve your quality of life, while helping to attain your aesthetic goals. If you decide to stay strictly cosmetic, you have a few options. The lower portion of your face is short compared to the rest. A genioplasty would add length to chin, as well as lengthening your jawline, tightening skin and creating more contour. You are also a good candidate for buccal fat removal with jawline lipo. This would reduce some of the fullness in your cheeks and the jowling around your jawline. Overall, a genioplasty would provide significant improvement, but all 3 would get you closest to the outcome you are looking for.
