Why can't you exercise or take a hot shower same day after laser genesis?

does it ruin the diffuse redness results or there another reason? second for HZ settings, does higher setting 10 give better results than 7 or 5? I know that is speed, faster the dermis heats up I guess

Hi, and thanks for your question! Showering or exercising after any kind of laser treatment isn’t recommended because your skin will be very sensitive to heat and irritation. Laser Genesis, like other laser treatments, works by sending intense, rapid pulses of heat and light deep into your skin to trigger your body’s rejuvenating processes, which in turn eliminates damaged cells and leaves your skin looking new and refreshed. While you won’t experience any surface sensitivity or redness after your treatment, reheating the skin with hot water or vigorous exercise will be uncomfortable at best and could affect your results at worst. Hot water and exercise are irritating to the skin on a chemical level, and it’s best to avoid any form of irritation immediately following a deep dermal treatment like Laser Genesis.
