Could I have an air pocket under a dental implant?

Question

I had dental implants on the bottom and have had them for about 7 months. Recently I had them taken out and cleaned. They were X-rayed by my Implant Dentist. They were very clean and my gums were very pink. But I have had pain in the furthest implant to the back. It is more like an aching all the time. He did not find anything wrong. Is this normal? What do you think my next step should be?

Sorry to hear you are having pain with your implant. I am assuming that you have a bridge that is screwed to your implant. If you have had pain before they were taken out and no evidence of infection has been noted it may mean that your bite may be off. I would have the dentist check your bite. It is not normal to have pain with your implant and perhaps you should see your restorative dentist or get a second opinion.
