PicoSure under eyes and swelling. Will this go away? (Photo)

Question

I had Picosure under my eyes for wrinkles- 1,000 pulses and she passed over the area three times. My eye bags are really red and swollen! It looks really bad. Will this go away? It doesn't seem to have eased in the last hour

Thank you for the question.  Any laser treatment around the eye area will cause some swelling and redness.  What you are experiencing is normal.  The PicoSure is one of 45 lasers that we frequently use in my practice, so we see many cases.  Swelling is normal and will subside in about 2-3 days.  If you still don’t have any improvement at the end of day 3, schedule a follow-up appointment with your provider so they can provide you with a formal assessment.

swelling after picosure is common but less then other devices , it should go down in 2-3 days
