My upper dental retainer broke in half recently. Is it possible to have it fixed to save money? (Photo)

So i accidentally broke my upper dental retainer recently, but as it broke it half, it still fits in well in the mouth, it's just that the two parts aren't connected with each other ( shown in photo) is it okay to use it as usual as it still fits well in my mouth? Or do i really need to go see my dentist right now?

There is a possibility that what you said is true.  However, there are also many situations where wires are not placed through every single bracket.In particular, when second molars are braced to start, the wire is not always extended that far back, because the span between the two braces...

It is unusual for your teeth to be wiggly after eight months.  The primary one that comes to mind is that you have a traumatic bite.  IOW, your front teeth hit heavier than your back teeth.  That can happen if they were trying to close spaces when there wasn't "room" for it....
