My tooth broke with a temporary crown, what do I do?

Okay so I went in today for crowns on 2 back teeth next to each other, my dentist ordered the crown today and I got a temporary crown on for now or something, and now a piece of one of my teeth just randomly fell off while I was watching a movie, ive hardly eaten since the appointment and I didnt chew on that side at all.... What does my tooth breaking mean?!?! please help me :( My dentist is closed right now

Is the tooth that looks grey root canaled?  Sometimes it's very difficult to mask out the grey caused from a tooth that has been root canaled.  I suggest that you go back to see your dentist and discuss your concerns with him/her.
