Is blue light therapy effective for blackheads?

I have oily skin and now at 30 have tried everythig for blackheads. Even though microdermabrasion and BHA salacylic acid helps it hasnt rid me of the problem.

I strongly recommend you start a topical retinoid which can be helpful for open comedones (blackheads).  Another great option is extraction using a comedone extractor.  These visits are usually with an esthetician.  Works great in getting the blackheads out.  PDT (blue light) can be effective for oily skin but not the best for blackheads.  Best of luck

PDT is a good option for patients who have acne who want to try an alternative treatment course but its not particularly great at getting rid of blackheads. Blackheads usually require physical extraction and a cream program to prevent them from happening in the first place.
