Is switching Invisalign trays every 10 days OK?

My orthodontist instructs me to switch trays every 10 days. He is so confident that switching every 10 days is safe and won't harm my teeth. I know everybody else is switching every 2 weeks, so I am still worrying some of my teeth may eventually die because of moving too fast. (I am 19 years old and have just started the treatment for 10 days.)

Everyones teeth move differently.  We start off with our patients wearing trays 2 weeks each, but will change to every 10 days depending on your tooth movement.  I would have trust in your orthodontist as every orthodontic case is a different.

It all depends on how your Dr set up your treatment.  For example, I set up my Invisalign movements so that they are changed every week.

It is perfectly fine to swap trays every 10 days. Invisalign does not move teeth in the same way as regular braces it also uses less force. While problems may arise from moving teeth quickly with conventional braces, those issues are mitigated when using Invisalign.
