Hifu on under eye (where fat has been repositioned) - will it destroy the fat?

I had fat repositioning under my eyes following a lower bleph procedure. This was a couple of years ago. I am now having my third Hifu on face and neck. But I am worried it is destroying the repositioned fat. Is this likely to be a problem?

In my opinion, it's unlikely that a few sessions of HIFU will cause meaningful loss of the fat that was repositioned during your lower blepharoplasty, as the energy is focused at set depths and most practitioners avoid treating directly over the lower lid fat pads. That said, HIFU does create small heat points that can affect fat if placed in the wrong layer, and some people notice extra hollowing over time, so I'd ask your practitioner to avoid the under-eye and lid–cheek junction and focus on the lower face and neck. If you notice any new hollowing, it's sensible to have your surgeon review it before further sessions.
