I feel like my vision is a little blurry now. Is it possible that I have screwed up the procedure? What course of action should I take?
Answer: Blurry vision By rubbing your eyes, you may have dislocated the LASIK flap or moved a bandage contact lens (if one was placed). If it does not improve, the best course of action would be to see your eye surgeon so they can check the eye. Good luck!

Answer: Eye Rubbing After LASIK Of course, you should try to avoid rubbing your eyes. Perhaps wearing sunglasses will help you doing this without thinking about it. If your vision is severely blurred, and you have moderate to severe pain in your eyes, you may have displaced your corneal flaps. This requires immediate attention from your surgeon. If just slightly blurry, it is highly unlikely you have displaced or wrinkled your flaps.

Answer: Rubbing after Lasik If you are experiencing only slight blurring it is unlikely that you have caused any damage. There is always risk of flap dislocation after eye trauma following lasik, but this would be associated with considerable discomfort and a great deal of discomfort. Best bet would be to have yourself checked by your surgeon.

Answer: Rubbing eyes after Lasik You certainly should not rub your eyes on the day after Lasik surgery. When your surgery was performed a flap of the surface of the eye (the cornea) was created. If you rub your upper lid or bump your eye you could dislodge, wrinkle, or tear that flap. This would usually cause you significant pain and your vision to become blurry. If these two things have not happened then you are probably ok. If you do have pain or blurry vision then you need to be seen by your surgeon immediately. I am conservative and tell my Lasik patients not to rub their eyes for 2 months following their Lasik surgery and even then you don't want to rub aggressively.
