The dr. depicted here is Dr. Martin L Fox, top NYC Ophthalmologist. He performed the Kamra Inlay procedure to eliminate reading glasses for me almost a year ago and I couldn't be happier. He took great care to educate me on the process and what to expect in the days and weeks after surgery. The procedure is safe, quick, delivers almost immediate results and best of all, reversible. I give Dr. Fox my highest recommendation.
It is not unusual for individuals with this kind of Refractive error to experience transient near sightedness after surgery. This usually passes over several weeks.
Your prescription is well in range for Lasik surgery which is a much safer option. ICL is usually reserved for patients with high prescriptions, issues of dryness or abnormal corneas.
This problem can be corrected by a procedure we offer called EyeBright in which we remove the swollen conjunctiva and encourage a new pristine clear conjunctiva to heal in thus improving your appearance. Check it out at Laserfox.com
Your Corneal thickness appears adequate for a prk enhancement. Pentacam tomography will assure safety.
PRK repeat procedures can be performed if vision changes as a result of the aging process. This would be considered an enhancement and could be performed if testing indicates that you remain a good candidate for laser vision correction.
