I'm on day 3 and although there is no pain, my skin is ultra tight and I look like a severe burn victim. Still extremely swollen and crazy reddish brown. I'm going on a fabulous vacation in 9 days and am terrified I will not be back to normal. Is 9 days enough to heal after such a severe treatment? Is there anything I can do to help the healing process along? I started using Aquaphor with a couple of drops of vitamin E oil mixed in as of this morning.

It is not uncommon for laser patients to experience hyperemia after treatment. However, there is no evidence to date that specifies a causal link between lasers and rosacea. If you have pre-existing rosacea, this may be the cause of the current redness.
Fraxel was the first fractionated laser to come onto the market and has remained among the leaders in this technology. In my opion, Fraxel Re:pair, a CO2 fractionated laser and the Deep FX from Ultrapulse are the two leaders in this technology. The treatments will cost more but are well worth it...
The Pixel laser is excellent for fine lines and wrinkles and causes minimal surrounding morbidity. I am curious though why you have these wrinkles at 21 years old. I have used the laser for young girls with acne scarring with excellent results.
